University Committee on General Education
The University Committee on General Education (UCGE) serves as the curriculum body for the University of Idaho's undergraduate general education. UCGE solicits and approves proposals and courses to be included in general education, and engages in program review and making recommendations for the continuous refinement of general education, in conjunction with the Director of General Education and the Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation.
Recommendations for changes will be forwarded to UCC, Faculty Senate, and the general faculty for information and/or action. UCGE reports periodically (at least once a year) to the Faculty Senate on the status of general education. This committee traditionally meets on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. [mission approved by Committee on Committee 12 October 2012]
